Metal tubing and pipe resist the storage logic that works for pallets and cartons. They are long, round, often heavy, and impossible to stack into a stable cube without damage or danger. Floor piles force operators to disturb six bundles to reach the one at the bottom; fixed-arm cantilever racks solve the stacking problem but push the access problem into the aisle, where a crane must thread a sling between uprights to reach a single pipe.

The mechanical advantage of the crank lets one operator extend arms carrying up to 3 tons of metal bars with normal effort. In a steel service center running two or three shifts, that simplicity translates into uptime rather than maintenance tickets.

For higher-stress layouts or coastal environments, Q355B is available at 355 MPa yield, adding fatigue margin under sustained bundle loads.

The open-front cantilever geometry is equally important. There is no front column to interfere with a 6 m pipe or a 12 m shaft. The arms support the load from below, and the telescopic carriage moves the load horizontally out of the storage envelope. Matching the rack to the material mix

Tubing and pipe rarely arrive in one size.
