Long material is a unique headache: one misplaced bundle can block an aisle, scar premium stainless, or eat an hour of forklift time. Herochu’s cantilever pipe rack turns bundles into labelled, fingertip inventory without adding square metres or staff.
The frame is built from 8 mm Q355B hot-rolled I-beam, welded and bolted to a 12 mm base plate that anchors straight into existing concrete. Arms are box-section, not angle iron, so a 5 t load sits dead-level and will not twist. Choose single-sided racks to hug a wall or double-sided islands to create a drive-through lane; both use the same upright, so you can re-layout next year without cutting steel.
Standard bays span 6 m, 9 m or 12 m and carry 3–5 t on every arm. Height stays below 1.75 m, keeping most bundles at waist level and inside OSHA reach guidelines. Arms adjust in 100 mm increments and accept optional flip-up lips, roller sections or full-length electric drives. If your saw cell goes automated tomorrow, the same upright accepts 24 V motorised rollers that talk ProfiNet and present the correct bundle to a robot gripper—no torch work, no repaint.

Loading is purposely simple. A forklift drops the bundle onto the lower arms, then the operator slides the remaining weight onto the waist-high assist level with one hand. Black pipe, stainless tube, PVC hose, even stacked remnants with separators—all sit safely while the next pick is made. Top beams can be colour-banded by alloy so the yard man never has to squint at faded tags.
Hot-dip galvanising—65 µm—means the rack can live outside beside the rail spur or inside beside the saw. Arm deflection is limited to 1/200 span, so 12 m aluminium extrusions stay flat and scratch-free. Every weld is MPI-inspected and comes with a mill test report, CE documentation and an ISO 9001 certificate ready for your insurer or auditor.
Knock-down delivery shrinks shipping volume by half, cutting freight and carbon. On site, two Herochu technicians bolt the frame, torque the M20 anchors, load-test each arm to 1.25 × rating and train your crew before lunch. Spare arms and rollers are stocked in Houston and Düsseldorf for 72-hour shipment, so a bent arm never becomes a bottleneck.
Users typically recover the investment in months, not years. A fabricator handling 50 t per week saved seven labour hours every week after swapping A-frames for a 9 m double-sided bay. At US $40 per loaded hour, that is US $15,000 saved per year—before counting less scratching, higher yard density and faster audits.

Send a sketch of your yard, max bundle weight and forklift aisle width. Within 24 hours you receive a 3-D SolidWorks proposal, static calculation and fixed-price quote. Approve the drawing, pay a 30 % deposit and the rack ships in about 15 days, ready to turn your long-goods chaos into the cleanest cell on the floor.
